Margaret's 100th birthday: Sunday 4 January 2026

Margaret celebrated her birthday at home on Sunday, with a number of friends calling by, ahead of her main celebration on Wednesday at High Force Hotel, kindly hosted by Lord and Lady Barnard and attended by around 80 guests. ​Margaret would like to thank the many well-wishers who sent her cards, emails and messages on social media, for which she is very grateful.

Margaret receives Honorary Doctorate from Durham University

On 2nd July 2024, Dr Margaret Bradshaw, founder of the Teesdale Special Flora Trust, was awarded an honorary science doctorate by Durham University in recognition of her unique contribution to the study and conservation of the special flora of Upper Teesdale.

Congratulations, Margaret, and thank you for all your work and inspiration!

Margaret's 55 mile trekking challenge

On her 98th Birthday, Dr Margaret Bradshaw MBE set off (with supporters) to walk the first one-mile leg of her 55-mile fund raising trek. The 55 mile target was chosen as is equivalent to circumnavigating the Teesdale Special Flora survey boundary.
