Since 2002, Upper Teesdale Botany Group, founded by Dr Margaret Bradshaw, has introduced people to the flora of Upper Teesdale. During this time, UTBG has built up an invaluable bank of data about the flora. We also:

  • Learn about the flora of Upper Teesdale through talks and practical botany sessions

  • Work with botanists and volunteers to regularly survey the plants

  • Raise public awareness about the plants through talks, walks and other activities

  • Promote the conservation and welfare of the Upper Teesdale flora by working closely in partnership with other organisations sharing similar aims

Membership is free, however donations to support the UTBG and the work to conserve the rare plants of Upper Teesdale are very welcome.
